Lattice Voice Technologies is a language tools company offering a solution to problems faced by many organisations contacted by non English speakers. They have developed software package called ‘First Contact’ which enables rapid identification of the language being spoken and assessment of the immediate requirements. The product is initially aimed at safety access points such as the Police; Ambulance; Fire and Coastguard services.
Funds raised from YHEF are being used to bring this innovative product onto the market. A number of police forces have already expressed interest in trialling the system.
