Chesterfield Cylinders is one of a handful of companies around the world offering a specialist manufacturing, refurbishment and verification service for high pressure, seamless, steel gas cylinders used in defence, oil and gas industry, gas transportation and gas ground storage applications.
In August 2004 the Yorkshire & Humber Equity Fund invested £250,000 to facilitate the MBO of the business. Further funds were raised from South Yorkshire Investment Fund, Bank of Scotland Corporate and Yorkshire Forward necessary to re-equip and relocate the Company to Sheffield.
